Al-Ahzãb

This Sürah was revealed during the 5th year after Hijrah (migration) of the Prophet to Madinah. During that year, three important events took place: the Battle of the Trench or Al-Ahzãb, the raid on Bani Quraizah (a Jewish tribe) and the Prophet’s marriage with Sayyidah Zainab (the divorced wife of his adopted son Zaid bin Hãrith).
